This is the perfect travel car for two people. I bought this car 6 months ago for my stay in Australia. I traveled up the East Cost a little bit (2-3 weeks) and used it to do some smaller trips to the Blue Mountains and Melbourne. I put o lot of work into the car since I bought it. The bed has been put in by me and is very easy to setup and very cozy to sleep in. Simply pull up on a parking lot and jump into the back and your ready to go to sleep. As can been seen on the pictures there is also curtains all round and plenty of windows to open all round. We also had a mosquito net setup on the inside (also very easy to do). When not needed, the alternative bench-setup can be chosen for up to 10 people in the car. Or simply for transport everything removed from the back.

Technically the car is in good shape. I had a new radiator installed (the old one was broken) which was ~$600 and then a complete checkup done for ~$1300 (please see pictures for repair statements). The interior is very clean and has a very cool old retro look. The car drives like any old Landcruiser, not much of a city car but once you're on the open country road it drives beautifully. This car has some rust spots, as can be seen on the images, the bottom and all important parts are, however, virtually rust free. And as every Australian would attest the Landcruisers are real working horses and very reliable cars. This has been my experience as well.

The car comes with the following items (is basically ready to go wherever):

  • First Aid Kit
  • LED Headlamp
  • Complete Australia Road Atlas
  • Storage Hammock
  • Spade
  • 2x 22liter water canisters
  • 1x 22liter fuel canister
  • Car Jack
  • Tire sealant
  • All round curtains
  • 8cm foam mattress (brand new)
  • Custom sown mattress cover
  • Roof rack (back part of the rack is missing and will be included in sale)
  • 4 back benches and seat belts
  • 4x100 Watt, 2x320 Watt Blaupunkt amplifier (if the buyer decides to pay me a little extra for it). I've used it to driver some regular bookshelf speakers and connected my iPod to it. Very cool sound whereever you go ;-). If buyer doesn't want it I'll take it out.
  • Spare battery
  • 2 beach chairs (very handy to have)
  • 12v Torch
  • various ropes to put the tarps up against wind, sand, sun
  • 2x Tarps (one 3mx5m, one 10mx12m
  • Jumper cables
  • 10t tow rope
  • This is all the information I can think of. If you still have questions Please feel free to contact me at any time.
